NORWALK, CONN Edmund P. Justis, 86, of Norwalk passed away on March 04, 2010 at Norwalk Hospital. Edmund was born in Stamford, Conn in 1923 to the late Francis and Mercedes (Ankerson) Justis of Stamford, Conn. He served in the United States Marine Corp during WWII and received two purple hearts. He and his family enjoyed boating on Long Island Sound for over fourteen years. He was interested in Wood Carving as a hobby and had a love for gardening. Edmund worked as a Photo Engraver for thirty years. He is survived by his loving wife, Louise J. (Scutti) Justis of sixty-three years; his daughter, four sons and three grandchildren. Edmund's family will receive friends on Friday, March 05, 2010 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from 4:00PM - 6:00PM. His funeral service with full military honors will be conducted at 10:00AM on Saturday, March 06, 2010, graveside, in Fairfield Memorial Park, 230 Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford.
