Douglas H. Osgood

On February 2, 2021 our beloved brother Douglas H. Osgood passed away peacefully at his home in Norwalk, CT.

Born September 27, 1958 in El Paso, TX, he was the son of the late Carol A. Osgood and the late Kenneth F. Osgood.

Douglas is survived by his sisters Donna Solano (Dominick), Kelly Eckert (Donald) and Jennifer Miller. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Alex, Kaitlyn & Nicholas Solano, Marie & Thomas Eckert and Kylie & Luke Miller.

Douglas was a lifelong client of STAR, Inc., a Special Olympics athlete competing in track and swimming where he excelled in the backstroke. Later he took up bowling and golf. He also enjoyed participating with the Theatre of STARS in their annual holiday production.

Doug valued his independence and was thrilled when at the age of 24 he was able to move into one of STAR's newly established group homes. He happily went off to work each day and looked forward to his activities with his friends and housemates.

Doug loved music from a very early age. He enjoyed listening to music, singing and dancing. He was a happy partner to all who asked.

Doug truly understood the meaning of living life to the fullest and shared it with everyone he met. Our brother was the true heart and light of our family. We will miss him dearly.
