Dorothy May Bondi

December 1, 1934 — September 18, 2020

Dorothy Mackin Bondi, 85, passed away peacefully Friday September 18, 2020                                                                                                 at her home in Norwalk surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy, also                                                                                                       known as "Dot" to her friends & loved ones; was born in Stamford, CT on                                                                                             December 1, 1934 the only child of Harold and Josephin Santonastaso Mackin.

As a wife and mother, she was very active in her family’s activities including
fundraising for The Little Singers of Norwalk, of which her son was a
member for 7 years. After her children were grown, Dot worked as a
manager at Paper Warehouse and a travel agent at Way To Go Travel in
Norwalk, CT. She was a member of The Sons of Italy of Norwalk.

Dot was a passionate bowler for over 60 years, and a frequent member
of the "200 Club". She loved going to see plays with friends,
traveling, and most of all cooking for and spending time with her
family. Her smile and laughter were contagious and will be greatly
missed by all.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Bondi of 66 years; her
daughter, Debra Bondi Mirabel and husband Paul Ninua, Lisa Bondi Allen
and husband Mark; her son, Bruce Bondi and wife Debbie; 5
grandchildren: Aimee, Marjorie and husband Justin, Mark Jr. and wife
Laura, Jaime and husband Matt, and Connor; and 6 great-grandchildren:
Ashley, Scarlett, Matthew, Ava, Harrison, Joseph all of whom brought
her an incredible amount of joy.

A funeral service will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, September
25th at Hoyt Cognetta/Raymond Funeral Home of 5 East Wall Street,
Norwalk, CT. A private burial will follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
