Donna M. Linden

April 15, 1944 — November 29, 2020

On Sunday, November 29, 2020, Donna Mauro Linden, 76, died after a valiant, year-long battle with ovarian cancer.  With Donna’s passing, the world lost a mother and grandmother who was loved and admired beyond words.

Donna was born on April 15, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY.  She graduated from The Mary Louis Academy in 1961 and later attended Queens College in Flushing, NY.  She eventually moved to Douglaston, NY, where she met her husband, Eugene Neil Linden.  Soon after, they moved to Ramsey, NJ, where their daughter, Rebecca, was born.  Sadly, Gene passed away after a short but tragic battle with cancer on March 31, 1988.

Second to being a mother, Donna's passion in life was her career as a flight attendant.  She proudly flew for American Airlines for 43 years.  She loved traveling the world and took advantage of every minute she had in the cities she visited, always finding treasures in local markets, soaking in the sights and enjoying her favorite meals with dear friends.  When she wasn’t flying, Donna poured her love and energy into her daughter, her home and her gardens.  In 2013, Donna retired to become a full-time grandmother.  In 2015, she happily moved to New Canaan, CT to be close to her family.

Anyone who knew Donna knew of her fierce and infinite love for her daughter, Rebecca.  She loved and cherished her granddaughters the same way.   Donna was a uniquely beautiful person and a true inspiration to her family, friends and all who knew her.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Linden Feinberg, Rebecca’s husband, Matthew Feinberg, and her beautiful granddaughters, Greysen and Parker - who will always love their Gigi.
