Donald Pontbriant

Donald Pontbriant died on April 17, 2016 in Norwalk, CT. He was 84 years old.

Born on February 16, 1932 in Webster MA to Arthur and Kathaleen Pontbriant, Don also lived for many years in Stamford, CT. Upon marrying the lovely Patricia (Pat) Haggerty and moving to Norwalk, Don & Pat raised their three children Ken, Janine and Denise (and their numerous pets) in the same little red house in which he died.

Having a father who worked for the railroad inspired Don to have a deep love of trains from an early age. He was an avid collector of all things railroad related. Don was also a talented woodworker who liked to boast about building the sunroom addition to his home with his own hands, and also built the deck surrounded by the wooded backyard. He was employed by companies including among others Houbigant, Elizabeth Arden and McKesson. Don was also a proud veteran of the Korean War.

Don was predeceased by his wife Pat (November 5, 2015) and his brother Bob Pontbriant. He is survived by his son Ken and his wife Debbie, his daughter Janine and her husband Jim, his daughter Denise, and his grandchildren Padraic, Lauren and Renee.
