NORWALK, CONN Dominick Joseph Randazzo of Norwalk passed away on Wednesday September 14, 2011 in Norwalk Hospital following a long battle with cancer. Born in Norwalk, CT on December 5, 1937, Dominick attended Norwalk Public Schools. He was trained and worked as a Nuclear Weapons Specialist in the Air Force. He was then employed by Deluxe Check Printers, Inc. for 33 years prior to the company relocating to New Jersey. Dominick was an avid bowler and played in several leagues in the area. He enjoyed his collection of model trains. He was a dedicated member of The Laurel Athletic Club for many years. He especially enjoyed watching his sons play baseball and hearing about his daughter's many adventures during her overseas missions. He was very proud of his children's accomplishments. Dominick is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sheri (Adinolfi) Randazzo, a daughter Sheri Randazzo, two sons Wayne (Petrea Pagliaro) and Michael (Lisa Castellano). In addition, Dominick has three grandchildren: Julia, Michael Jr. and Leo. Additional survivors include his brother Augie; Brother in laws Joseph Adinolf; Terry Adinolfi and his wife Kathy, and Gary Wayne Adinolfi; Sister in laws Rita (DeCostanzo) Randazzo, Sheila (Adinolfi) Randazzo and Theresa (Rignola) Adinolfi. Dominick is predeceased by his parents Augie and Mildred (Tortorella) Randazzo and brother Salvatore. The Randazzo family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, September 19, 2011 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from 5:00PM - 8:00PM. Dominick's funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 10:00AM in the parlor with the Rev. Adam Yates of St. Paul On The Green Church, officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Whittingham Cancer Center, 24 Stevens St. Norwalk, CT 06856.
