Domenico Caratozzolo, 98, beloved husband of Carmela Caratozzolo passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, at home ,surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 10,1927, in Bagnara (Reggio Calabria) Italy. Domenico was the eldest son of the late Carmelo and Caterina (Latella) Caratozzolo. He married Carmela on September Of 1957 and in 1976 moved to The United States with his three children, Domenico was a hard working man and a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, he is survived by his wife, Carmela, sisters, Pasqualina (Bagnara), Caterina (Australia), his Son Carmelo Caratozzolo And His Wife Maria, His Daughter Caterina Mazzella (d. Giuseppe Mazzella), his son Mimmo Caratozzolo and wife Dawn and his seven Grandchildren : Carmela Papallo (Joseph). Domenico Caratozzolo (Danielle) Anthony Mazzella (Libby), Anna Mazzella, Cristina Caratozzolo, Domenico Caratozzolo, Lorenzo Caratozzolo and five great grandchildren Marco, Georgia, Teresa, Luca and Terra. Predeceased By Sisters Teresa (Twin), Carmela and Brother Vincenzo.
Domenico’s greatest Joy Was being with his family outdoors, you could always find him in his Vegetable garden, foraging for mushrooms in the forests of Italy or fishing at Norwalk Beach. He was a master Stone Mason creating eye catching projects throughout Fairfield County.
Friends may call on Saturday March 7th 8:00 am- 9;30 am at Raymond Funeral Home in Historic Norwalk, 5 East Wall Street.
