Denis M. Squillacote, age 57, beloved fiancé of Jeanne Wade of Norwalk, died suddenly on August 4, 2013 at Norwalk Hospital. He was born on November 16, 1955 in Mt. Vernon, N.Y. and was the fourth of five children to the late Leo Joseph and Ethel Mary (Ruffalo) Squillacote. Denis graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and was a self-employed Electrician. Apart from Jeanne, his passions were for music and electronics repair. He and Jeanne were well-known in the Norwalk rock and roll music scene, and NO ONE could resuscitate a tube amplifier to warmth or an ailing guitar to wail like Denis. His presence on eBay will be missed. Clients will ache to find anyone to design and maintain control systems like he could. All will remember and miss the uniquely 'Denis' style - an off-beat sense and delightful sense of humor with that sly smile. Survivors include two brothers: Paul (and Regina) Squillacote of Boca Raton, Fla, and David Squillacote with his wife Lynn of Glen Rock, N.J. Beloved sisters are: Joan Jarowski with her husband Charles of NYC, and AnnMarie Brown ALONG WITH future brother-in-law David Preus of Butler, N.J. Four nephews, 5 grand-nephews, and one grand-niece also survive him. Friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday August 7, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street, 06851. Dress is bar casual and friends are invited to jack in with one of Denis' (or their own) guitars. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
