Delia J. Mognol-Martin

Delia J. Mognol-Martin passed away peacefully on April 20, 2024.  She was born on March 19, 1927 in Rosario, Argentina.   Her father was an excellent artist and painter and her mother was a loving and devoted mother.  She had a total of 10 siblings and step-siblings.  Her mother died when she was a young lady, and she eventually married and moved to Venezuela.  After divorcing, she came to the United States in search for new opportunities and ultimately became a teacher.   She married Robert Martin and travelled around the U.S. before settling in Stamford, CT for many years where she raised her two sons, Robert Jr. and Glenn.  She was patient, generous and kind, and lived a simple life.  After retirement and divorce she settled in Norwalk, CT.  She was very skilled in cooking, sewing and knitting.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and looked forward to her phone calls with her relatives in Argentina.  She loved the beach and animals, especially dogs, and the family beagle, Axl.  She is survived by both of her sons, her daughter-in-law, Nancy, and grandchildren Hunter and Skye.  Delia adored her grandchildren and focused on helping to raise them.  May she rest in peace and ‘sleep with the angels’.
