Cirilo Mendoza-Austria age 60, beloved husband to Maria Santos of Norwalk, passed away on April 18, 2020 in Norwalk Hospital. He was born in Tepeapulco, Hidalgo, Mexico on July 9, 1959 and was a son to Lorenzo Mendoza-Guerrero and Constancia Austria-Hernandez.
Mr. Mendoza was devout Christian; he enjoyed Catholic spiritual retreats and was a Eucharistic adoration with his church. He liked cooking at home and meals with his family and enjoyed training and running in marathons.
Survivors in addition to his loving wife Maria include his sons, Gerardo and Arturo Mendoza; daughters, Roxana and Myra Mendoza; brothers, Miguel, Porfirio and Obdulio Mendoza; sisters, Alejandra, Hilda, Juana and Irma Mendoza; sisters-in-law, Patricia and Gema Mendoza.
A private service will be held at St. Aloysius Church in New Canaan on Thursday April 23, 2020 followed by interment in Union Cemetery, Norwalk. The Hoyt-Cognetta / Raymond Funeral Home in Historic Norwalk has been entrusted with arrangements.
