Charlotte Franks

Charlotte Laura (Scruton) Franks passed away peacefully at Autumn Lake Healthcare in Norwalk, CT on January 6, 2018. She was born on October 26, 1920 in Rutland, VT, daughter of Charles Scruton and Charlotte Elizabeth Blair. She met and married her late husband Eugene J. Franks while he was visiting his sister in Vermont. They settled in Stamford, CT where she became a homemaker and raised two children. She returned to the workforce when her children were older, where she worked for many years at General Electric Credit Corporation in Stamford, CT. Upon her retirement, she was a daycare provider for her two beloved grandchildren, which kept her young. She enjoyed watching her soap operas, reading, cooking, her love of animals, knickknacks, and her collection of roosters.

She is survived by her son Eugene Franks, her daughter Charlotte Knebel, her grandchildren Katrina Knebel, Andrew Knebel, and Andrew's fiancée Tara Shanes-Hernandez. She is also survived by her sister Helen Bates and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She is predeceased by her sisters Dorothy Lorman and Ruth Scruton, and her brothers Stewart, Richard, and Phillip Scruton and Clifton and James Tyrell.
