Carrie Angela Levitt

July 17, 1956 — August 8, 2018

Carrie Angela Petruccelli Levitt of Norwalk CT passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side after succumbing to her bitter bout with cancer.  Her passing was accompanied by a brief rain and thunderstorm followed by an opening of the clouds and a ray of sunshine.

Carrie is survived by her loving husband, soulmate and BFF Gary Guiser, her two amazing sons Jared and Jesse Levitt, her father and invincible patriarch of the family, Mario Petruccelli, her brothers Claude, Chris and Craig Petruccelli, and countless beloved friends and family across the country.  Despite losing her physical battle with the disease, at the end she defied it through her spirit, love and her entry into the Lord’s palace where she is now happily reunited with those who passed before her, especially her dear Mother Loretta Visconti Petruccelli, baby sister Lori April Petruccelli, big sister Clelia Petruccelli Fiordelisi, brother-in-law Ralph Guiser and her precious niece Madison Guiser.

Carrie had an illustrative career as a business executive but wished to only be remembered as a loving daughter, strong-willed and devoted wife, protective sibling, true friend, and most importantly, nurturing mother.

We will miss Carrie’s authenticity, brilliance, energy, compassion, generosity, love and yes, that relentless attitude!  However, we take solace in the strength of her spirit and the memories that will be overflowing in our lives forever as she now surrounds us with her angelic force.  The earth lost a special one with Carrie’s transcendence, but the heavens will never be the same, strengthened by her arrival where she now looks down upon us all to guide us safely for the remainder of our earthly journey.  You go girl!

Carrie will be honored with a remembrance gathering the afternoon of Sunday August 26th at Harbor Lights Restaurant, 82 Seaview Ave. Norwalk, CT beginning at 12:30 pm.  A formal celebration service will commence at 2:00 pm, followed by a group toast and social event. The funeral mass will be held the following morning, Monday August 27th at St Matthews parish in Norwalk, CT starting with a musical reception at 11:00 am followed a Mass of Christian Burial commencing at 11:30 am.
