Carolina “Carol” Chacon age 56, formerly of Norwalk, beloved wife to Carlos Chacon of Naugatuck, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on March 16, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born on February 15, 1961 in Norwalk and was a daughter to Gina Marini Palmieri and the late Corrado Palmieri. Carol was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and Katherine Gibbs Business School.
Survivors in addition to her loving husband Carlos and devoted mother Gina include, a son Nicolas Chacon of Naugatuck, a daughter Carly Chacon of Rhode Island, a brother Angelo Palmieri, Sr. and his wife Lisa of Seymour, two sisters, Anna Mosback and her husband Joe of North Carolina, Marina Peninpede and her husband Stephen of Ansonia; several loving nieces and nephews whom she adored; and an abundance of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may greet the family on Monday March 20, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in Norwalk’s Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home and Crematory, 5 East Wall Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday March 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Rd. Norwalk. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Norwalk.
