NORWALK, CONN Carol J. Klimek of Norwalk, Conn passed away on Friday, March 26, 2010, following a long and courageous battle with cancer, while at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 64. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Carol was the daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothea (Sauer) Pedersen and graduated from Linden High School, Linden, NJ, in 1963. Carol and her beloved husband of nearly 45 years, Theodore "Ted" J. Klimek, relocated to Norwalk, Conn in 1974. Carol worked as a Senior Associate in the books division of MBI Inc. of Norwalk for 22 years. She was a former member of St. Mary's R.C. Church of Norwalk, where she taught Catechism. More recently, Carol and her husband became members of St. Matthew R.C. Church of Norwalk. She was a former officer of the Broad River Elementary School PTA. Carol enjoyed traveling the country, including visits to Nevada, Florida and the Jersey Shore. She also loved to read and spend time with her granddogs.' But most of all, family came first, and she will be missed as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Along with her husband, Carol is survived by two daughters: Christine Lynn Klimek of Norwalk, Conn, and Sherry Anne Morin and her husband, David, of Bath, PA. She also leaves one brother, Raymond Pedersen, Jr. of Colonia, NJ, and three sisters: Lynda Heeney of Colonia, NJ; Karen Pedersen of Scotch Plains, NJ; and Lauren Markowski of Flemington, NJ; as well as many nieces and nephews. Carol's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, March 29, 2010 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from 7:00PM - 9:00PM. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 9:15AM from the parlor, where the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Matthew R.C. Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk, Conn when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM. The Rev. Tomi Thomas will officiate. Interment will follow in St. John R.C. Cemetery, Richards Avenue, Norwalk, Conn.
