Carlo G. Demichael

NORWALK, CONN Carlo G. DeMichael of Norwalk passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in his home, following a lengthy illness. He was 68 years old. Born in Norwalk on January 29, 1941, Carlo was the son of the late Daniel and Lucy (Corrello) DeMichael and was raised in New Canaan. He attended the New Canaan High School. He retired as superintendent of the New Canaan Parks Department in 1997. He is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Carolyn M. (Collins) DeMichael; four sons, Keith A. DeMichael of Norwalk, James W. and his wife, Jenny DeMichael and beloved granddaughter, Carly of Norwalk and Stephen and Richard DeMichael, both of New Canaan; a brother, Salvatore DeMichael of Norwalk; a sister, Marie Reynolds of Bethel, Conn and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death were a brother, Daniel DeMichael and a sister, Anna Cocchia. Carlo's family will receive friends on Monday, December 28, 2009 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from 4:00PM - 8:00PM. His funeral will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 in Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 163 New Canaan Avenue, Norwalk. The Rev. Russell B. Greene, Jr. will officiate. He will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery, following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Whittingham Cancer Center, Maple Street, Norwalk, Conn. or to the Connecticut Hospice, 1 Park Street, Norwalk, CT 06851.
