ROWAYTON, CONN. Carl B. Lindeblad, 56, of Rowayton, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2009 in Norwalk Hospital, following an illness. Born in Norwalk on March 25, 1952, Carl was the son of the late Harold Lindeblad. He was a 1969 graduate of Brien McMahon High School and continued his education at UNH. He received a degree in Forestry and subsequently relocated to Montana. There, he lived life in the mountains, pursuing his passion of hiking, climbing and backpacking. He was also an avid skier. Ten years later, Carl returned to Rowayton and worked as an independent carpenter and land surveyor. He was a member of the Norwalk Ski Club and a former member of Ischoda Yacht Club of Norwalk. He is survived by his mother, Frances M. (Vermes) Lindeblad of Rowayton; two brothers, William J. Lindeblad of Rowayton and Robert A. and his wife, Sharon Lindeblad, of Kingstown, Rhode Island; a niece, Bethany Lindeblad and a nephew, Stieg Lindeblad. Carl's funeral services will be held privately, at the convenience of the family. They have have selected Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street, to assist them in the arrangements.
