Beresford S. Thompson

Beresford Samuel Thompson, 71, of Norwalk passed away on November 13th, 2024, at Norwalk Hospital. He was born in Pratville, Manchester, Jamaica to the late Beresford Thompson and Ann Thompson. Beresford was predeceased by his father and brothers Glen and Donald.

Beresford grew up in Jamaica until he immigrated to the United States in 1978. He moved to Norwalk, CT where his mother and sister had already settled. There he met his future wife Jean Marsan and began his 35yr. career as a welder. Beresford and Jean celebrated their 40 year anniversary this past September. His greatest passions in life were gardening, cooking and sports. He was an avid Manchester United and Dallas Cowboys fan.

Beresford’s greatest passion of all in life was his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Beresford is survived by his mother, Ann Thompson, sisters Althea Thompson and Annette Thompson, brothers Winston Thompson and Michael Thompson, sons Jason, Justin and Joseph Thompson, daughter Janeen Thompson, grandson Nathan Thompson and granddaughters Violet and Juliet Thompson.

Friends are invited to greet the family on Monday November 18, 2024 from 11:00 am till 1:30 pm ( prayer service beginning at 1:00 pm) at the Raymond Funeral Home 5 East Wall Street in Historic Norwalk.
