Barbara Wood

Barbara Florence Wood of 86 Todd Hill Rd., Bethlehem, CT passed peacefully at home on September 22, 2025. She was born on April 10, 1938 to Alan and Lillian Peterson. She was the loving wife of Raymond Wood for 56 years. Barbara leaves behind her daughter, Barbara Haybeck and her family of NEW MILFORD, Connecticut. She also leaves behind her two sons William Wilson of MILFORD and Stephen Wood of Kensington, Connecticut along with their families. She is pre-deceased by her son John Wilson and her brother Courtney Peterson. Barbara also leaves behind her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Barbara enjoy traveling the world, cruising, baking and hosting parties. She had a special place in her heart for animals. Barb was a volunteer EMT in Westport, Connecticut, and worked as an executive secretary. After the children left home she and her husband Ray spent time between their homes in Center Conway, New Hampshire and Barefoot Bay, Florida before settling in Bethlehem Connecticut. She will be greatly missed.

Friends may call on Thursday September 25th from 4:00 till 7:00 pm in  the Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street in Historic Norwalk.
