Barbara Maynard Wilson
September 26, 1936-March 25, 2020

Barbara Wilson of Rowayton, CT passed away peacefully on March 25, 2020.
Born in Holyoke, MA and raised in Fall River and Somerset, MA, Barbara graduated from Bridgewater State Teacher's College in 1958.  She taught first and second grade at Tracey Elementary School in Norwalk, CT.  She devoted her life to raising her family and being kind to others.  She was a long time volunteer at Norwalk United Methodist Church, had a life-long love of the Girl Scouts, and was active in many quilting and sewing groups.

She is survived by daughters Wendy Aldershof of Stamford, CT and Susan Wilson of Centennial CO, Grandchildren Grace Aldershof of Glen Burnie MD, NIcholas Aldershof of Brooklyn, NY, Hannah Lonski of Denver, CO, Lee Aldershof or Redding, CT, Nathaniel Lonski of Denver, CO, and Samuel Aldershof of Stamford, CT, Great-grandchildren Isabel Garrett and Henry Garrett of Glen Burnie, MD, bother Jack Maynard of Ozark, AR, and sister Valerie Daley of Smithfield, RI.

She would want you to remember that others are important, to remember that helping other people is not optional, to use good manners, and to be creative.
