Antonio Torcasio age 67, of Norwalk, passed away on October 1, 2023 in Norwalk Hospital after a courageous 6 year battle with lung cancer. Mr. Torcasio was born in Nicastro, Lamezia Terme, Italy and was the son of late Vincenzo and Serafina Torcasio.
Tony started his career as a stone mason and eventually started his own business, Antonio’s Landscaping & Masonry which he operated for 15 years. He retired from the State of Connecticut as a Maintainer out of the Darien garage.
Tony was most happy spending time with family especially with his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife, Laura of 40 years, brother Salvatore Torcasio; four sisters Palma Pagliuso (late Felice), Maria Ambrosio (Guiseppe), Angelina DiMeglio (Luigi), Ida Ignatiadis (late Nick) and sister-in-laws Antonia Torcasio, Paula Dubay (David), Debra Schoonejongen, Linda Milazzo (Peter).
Antonio was predeceased by his brothers Francesco Torcasio and John Torcasio, brother-in law Nick Ignatiadis and Felice Pagliuso and his niece AnnaMaria Ambrosio.
Friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 6:00 till 8:00 pm at the Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street in Historic Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 am at St. Matthews Church. Entombment will follow at St. John's Mausoleum in Norwalk. Please visit;
