Antonio "Tony" Cappuccia, age 54, lifelong resident of Norwalk, passed away on March 18, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born on August 19, 1967 and was a son to Nicandro and MaryAnn (Fruscino) Cappuccia of Norwalk. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1985, attended Sacred Heart University then completed electrical trade school. Tony was a Master Electrician and co-owner of Nick Cappuccia Electric and Sons. He was the current president of St. Ann Club in Norwalk.
His passion was softball, playing in local leagues and especially coaching his daughter’s team. He loved music, especially country and John Cougar Mellencamp. Tony enjoyed listening to live music with family and friends. His greatest love was family. He was happiest when surrounded by those he loved.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include; his beloved daughter, Isabella Cappuccia, his sister, Maria (John) Vozzo and their son, Anthony; his sister-in-law, Jessica LaRose and her son Nico; two uncles, Gennaro Cappuccia and Frank Fruscino; three aunts, Angie (Dominick) Turdo, Filippa Cardone and Alba (Soliman) Ben-Barka; many cousins, his close companion Kelly DiIorio and many close friends. He was recently predeceased by his brother, Domenick Cappuccia.
Friends are invited to greet the family on Tuesday March 22, 2022 from 4:00 till 8:00 pm at Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street, Norwalk. The men of St. Ann Club will gather at 7:00 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday March 23, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Matthew's Church on Scribner Ave, Norwalk. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Norwalk. In lieu of flowers an account for the well-being and education of Isabella Cappuccia has been set up.
