Anthony J. Federice

April 15, 1937 — June 30, 2015

Anthony James Federice, Jr., 78, cherished husband of Valerie Federice, passed away peacefully after a fearless battle against diabetes and cancer on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in Norwalk, CT. Born on April 15, 1937 in Stamford, CT, he was the son of the late Rita and Anthony Federice, Sr. A graduate of Stamford High School in 1955, Tony loved music with a passion and played the drums for great bands such as Tony Coy and Angelo Rubino. Tony was extremely proud his grandchildren inherited his love of music and got so much enjoyment from hearing them play. Although he was well known for his outstanding work at Sherwin Williams, The Color Source and Brandman's, Tony was perhaps best known for his honorable character. His loved ones will always remember his warmth and the quiet strength he exhibited particularly as his health was challenged. Tony is survived by his beloved wife, and the love of his life, Valerie of 33 years, his sister Barbara Smith and her husband William Smith of Fairfield, his daughter Nancy Federice and her fiancé Michael Albers of San Francisco, his son Gerard Lafferty of Stamford, his son and daughter-in-law Edward and Shannon Lafferty of West Hartford, and his three grandchildren: Ryan, Connor and Katherine. He is also survived by six loving nieces and nephews. At Tony's request, services will be private.
