On Aug 12, 2025 Ann M. Conte Russo (Anna Maria Grazia Conte) passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. A woman of strong faith she liked to tell everyone she met “you need Jesus, Jesus will help you, turn to Jesus, Jesus loves you”. She was born to the late Francesco and Maria Michela Autore Conte on Feb 2, 1927. On September 1, 1947 she married the love of her life Anthony John Russo who preceded her in death in 2016. She was also pre-deceased by her beloved son Mario in 2021, her siblings: Antonio, Patrick, Florence, Rose, Vincent & Virgina. Survivors include her brother Frank (Angelina) Conte of Florida; children: Anthony (Thoumma) Russo, David (Bernice) Russo, Kimberly (David Wilcox); her daughter in law Norma Torres (Mario’s spouse). Her adored grandchildren: Kelly, Anthony, David, Michael Wilcox; Rachel, Kimberly, Valerie Russo; Maly (Alan) Kapilian, Kai (Molly) Khammanivony & Great Grandchildren: Amanda, Hailey, Lily, Rolanna, Kevin, Daniel, Zakhary, Daniel K., &Jesus; nieces & nephews. Mom loved a noisy house full of family, friends, church family, children, acquaintances & pets.She & Anthony were foster parents for many years. Along with her sister, Virginia she would feed and rescue stray cats. She loved to cook and bake. Her greatest joys in life were her family and feeding people. Holidays and Thursday “spaghetti” night were always an open invitation. She always prepared an abundance of food & desserts, and everyone would take home leftovers. She loved gardening (especially pulling weeds!), sewing, crafts. The family would like to thank the 3rd floor staff at Autumn Lake for their loving care of our Mom, the 3rd floorresidents for their love and kindness; her main aide Riblas whom she adored and was very special to her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 23th at 2 p.m. Lighthouse Baptist Church, 4 Bayne Street, Norwalk. Service will be livestreamed. https://norwalkbaptist.com/live-stream/ 

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Lighthouse Baptist Church (missions fund or the neighbors in need fund).
