Di Meglio-Aniello Di Meglio, age 80, beloved husband of 55 years, to Lucia Buono Di Meglio of Norwalk, passed away Monday March 19, 2012 in Norwalk Hospital. Mr. Di Meglio was born October 14, 1931 in Buonopane, Barano, Ischia, Italy. He was a member of CT Labor Union # 141 and worked construction his whole life. Aniello enjoyed fishing, tending his garden and generally loved being outdoors. In addition to his beloved wife, survivors include his loving children, a son John Di Meglio and his wife, Michelle; two daughters, Fran Di Meglio, Maria Funicello and her husband Pasquale, all of Norwalk; His "pride and joy" grandchildren, Joe Pasquale and Elvie Maria Funicello, Derek Peter and Zachary Aniello Di Meglio. He also has one brother and three sisters, as well as nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 22, 2012 at 9:30 in the Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street and 10:30 at St. Thomas Church for a mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in St. John's Mausoleum, Norwalk. Friends may call on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in the parlor.
