Alfred C. DeVito

Alfred C. DeVito, 81, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026.

A lifelong resident of Norwalk, Alfred was the beloved son of the late Patrick S. and Theresa Mary DeVito. He graduated from Norwalk High School, Class of 1962, and went on to work for West Coast Life for more than 20 years, where he was known for his steady dedication and warm spirit.

Affectionately known as “Freddy” to family and friends, he treasured his time with those he loved most. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Carol DeVito of Norwalk; his nephews John and his wife Marsha, Matthew and his wife Maria, and Michael; and his great-nephews Charles and Zachary, and great-nieces Sophia and Isabella. He was predeceased by his brothers Patrick A. DeVito, Michael A. DeVito, and Albert P. DeVito and his beloved dog, Cynthia.

Freddy will be remembered for his gentle nature, generous heart, and the quiet kindness he extended to everyone he met. His presence brought comfort and warmth to his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed.

A memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made towards Alzheimer's Research.
